John is a Book Publisher, Musician, Playwright, Performer, Director, Author, Neo-Futurist from Chicago Illinois. You can join him on facebook, if you are into that type of thing, HERE. Here is a blog he just started to try and gather material for a new book about his band days in Screeching Weasel, The Mopes, and Even In Blackouts: Memories of a Jughead. You can visit the webpage of the band he was in for 17 years even though he is no longer in the band. No matter what the reasons for the disconnect he cherishes these memories enough to give the link it's respected due at Screeching Weasel.com You can join the FB page for his other band Even In Blackouts There is also a Even In Blackouts Blog that is horribly out of date, but it has some great pictures. Here is an FB page for his new novel The Last Temptation of Clarence Odbody. See his Video Channel. If you are interested in extensive reviews that John has conducted with Neo-Futurists, you can find them here. Neo Interviews. He hopes to get back to working on these soon. They take ALOT of time. There are about 7 more interviews that have been conducted but not yet transcribed. Here is a site Even In Blackouts to talk about their view of the songs on THRESHOLDS FROM THE BASEMENT And Here is a link to listen and perhaps even download EIB songs that I want heard: The Songs of Even In Blackouts

I made this video one late late night when I couldn't get to sleep. I rode my bike to the Neo-Futurarium, set my computer in a bunch of different positions, and just played with my favorite prop (A big red barrel). My nephew, Levi, likes this video, and that makes it even more important to me.

I love this club. We never have a very large audience in Oslo Norway, but it's always fun and unforgettable.

I love me some Schadenfreude. Even in Blackouts had previously written a theme song for them for a radio show. I was very excited when they asked me to participate in this video. Greg and I improvised all of this, we had no script. It took quite awhile because we kept making each other laugh.

I made this video when I first got my mac computer. It was the first and I think my best attempt at making videos. I improvised the whole strange thing.
I had no other theme at the time than the fact that I was worrying the city was not doing their job taking care of the flooding problems all down Foster Ave. A few of my friends lost value on their properties. The Floods destroyed quite a few homes. The punks got ahold of the video and thought it was some sort of comment on being left out of the new band that has been called Screeching Weasel. It had nothing to do with it. But one could say it is about the fear of the unknown and how crazy it can make you feel.

This was made by Peter Sebastian. It was an advertisement for my Neo-Futurist Prime Time Show called, Crisis: A Musical Game Show. The song was written by Dan Kerr-Hobert. The man in the middle, singing. Once again, like all the videos I have, we had nothing planned, just sort of DID things in front of the camera.
